Colt’s show career was a short one. He was shown in ABRA Dun Factor earning a few points. He was also shown in a couple Western Pleasure classes. Even though Colt was blessed with a real cadence about himself, and his gaits, especially the lope, are to die for, I found that he didn’t take to the repetition it takes to make a good show horse. He has been on alot of trails though and has done very well. Colt has been fairly easy to work around. He is a thinker and likes attention. With patience he can be clipped He loads/rides in a trailer just fine as well as ties and cross ties real well. He usually stands for the farrier but will test her once in awhile, make sure she’s paying attention. He has been good for the vet as well. Colt has respect for the horses he is in with I will have him current on his coggins, vaccinations and deworming. Other than a cut on his leg in his earlier years, Colt has been a very healthy individual. He has been kept in a stall and has been kept outside all year around as well. He is a fairly easy keeper. I feel this horse should go to a little more experienced horse person as he can be alittle testy at times, especially if you are doing something repetitious.
